Why...

... is it always New York? Is it the capital of the world or something? There are other cities you know! Others that are crying out for destruction. It's not fair, damn it!

P.P.S. I'm not serious about braining you. Whatever that means.

P.P.P.S I think you need some more regular camera angles. After a while it becomes obvious that you're avoiding animating and not just being artsy. I barely ever saw anyone's mouth when they were talking. Anyway, it was pretty good.

Hahahahah. Hell I dunno, You'll hafta ask KJL about that. If I ever decide to make that trailer of Part 2, I'll assure you, I'll show at least 5 other monuments destroyed.

I know, I'll fix the lip syncing in Part 2, Cause the FPS was at 42, and that was a bitch to animate lip syncing so I left it out.

A truly crap effort

If you're going to make a big deal about it being 60 fps (if it truly is, I can't tell) you should make an animation that shows this attribute off.

Instead you have simple tweens and simple jerky FBF that would have looked exactly the same as on 30 fps or even 20 fps.

To top it off, there is nothing funny or creative here. But for some reason, it seems that you felt music from the Benny Hill show would make it funnier. Let me tell you, it didn't do anything for Benny Hill and it hasn't made this funny either.

Seriously? That was audio of an entire skit? It seemed like just one joke. One joke that wasn't funny. Don't touch the hamsters. Don't touch the hamsters...

Maybe you could have picked some funnier audio if you aren't going to record something funny yourself. Maybe?

... people vote high for something you don't like, and automatically there's something wrong with them? Don't you think that could come off as just a little arrogant?

I agree that a lot of crap gets high scores when it shouldn't (Neurotically Yours, Silent Hill CE, anything by Legendary Frog, most sprite movies), but this movie just makes you look like a jackass who thinks he's better than everyone else.

I agree with your position and feel your anger on a day to day basis, but I think your message could have been funnier and come across better without the angry attitude.

[Dragons Are SO Halloween]

Not thrilling

The first part was good with the backstory of the Dragon and the tunic. But from the psycho shower scene onwards, the jokes were dumb and had bad timing. Animation was okay.

Oh yeah, and I don't know WHO started this trend (I'm looking at you, Legendary Frog) but please, please, PLEASE lose the unnecessary subtitles. It's distracting and contributes to bad comedic timing and makes the joke too obvious. If people can read the joke before it's done, it loses some of its shock effect, which is important in humour.

It's like you've permanently enabled "English subtitles for the hard of hearing". Do we need a description of every single sound effect? Most people can hear them. That's why we have speakers. Please make this feature optional in the future, if you decide to include it at all.

Also, I know that the subtitles themselves are tempting to make fun of (e.g. *hardcore fighting sounds*), but trust me on this:
Subtitle humour has been done to death, and is no longer as fresh and funny as it might once have been.

Sorry about the angry nature of this review. I'm just sick of the same tired LegendaryFrog-esque humour that seems to be so popular on Newgrounds. As I said, I liked the first part with the absurd dragon thing.

Why is it one little thing happens everyone always has to point their fingers at Legendary Frog to blame?

I'm not a fan of the guy but just because I don't slap blood , killing, excessive swearing, and dick and fart jokes into a movie doesn't make me Legendary Frog. Oh yeah and Legendary Frog didn't invent lame humor. Crediting him with that is idiotic.

I added subtitles in case maybe if somebody has no speakers (i.e. if you're on a school computer) they usually never have speakers. Giving that credit to Legendary Frog is also idiotic.

Subtitle humor? Where? I don't know what "Subtitle" humor is. What? That the dragon's talking in his dragon language was translated? Because I don't see that as subtitle humor. I see that as translating speech with subtitles.

Wait... now reobserving your review you say "subtitles themselves are tempting to make fun of (e.g. hardcore fighting sounds*)" Um, that's making fun? Seems more like subtitling sound effects. If this is what you're getting at as "Subtitle" humor, than you need to buy a book and read up on what is and is not humorous.

Every line uttered in ths movie are the only lines I wrote in the bar is said inside this movie. Except for the dragon speech which was simply translated and for the subtitles which were mentioned. And the comment above seemed like the reviewer had nothing else to say so took your review.

Pfft. "Subtitle" humor.

[Castle Prologue]

Okay, but not great

The artwork is pretty nice. The landscapes and battle scenes are particularly good. I don't like the eyes you have on the sticks, though.

This piece had no animation at all, so that was a bit of a disappointment. Seeing as this submission has gotten a high score from users, I was expecting something more than a slideshow.

The narrator had a good, clear voice, but the speech she was giving was filled with ponderous and cliched words/phrases, and her acting wasn't that good.

Crap!

I get your humour, I just think it's dumb.

The drawings are alright, but presenting it in comic form was annoying (because I had to click every few seconds) and it is just really lazy. Animation is much more effective anyway, so animate it!

The story wasn't really engaging. Try harder please!

[9/11: Mad World]

A touching tribute ruined by a dumb epilogue

This submission, minus the dumb cartoon at the end where a stickman pilots a jet into Osama, was a pretty good tribute to those who died, those who risked their lives and died for others, and those who survived the devastation.

The end cartoon was out of place, in that it was light-hearted on such a heavy subject. It didn't seem to gel with the rest of the submission, and should have been left out. Can you imagine showing that last piece to anyone who was permanently scarred by the destruction of that day?

Not very funny

Most of these seemed to rely on the calm-then-SHOCK formula, which wasn't used to good effect.

The only thing I found funny was the sword falling in Link's face, which I found to be a humourous parody of the Zelda games.

You need to make each joke more clever, like the Link one. You can't just give a gun to a character who would never usually use a gun and expect people to be in hysterics when someone gets shot.

The rest of the skits were pretty dumb.
