Rape joke...

Liked the graphics, but the jokes were pretty juvenile.

And rape is never funny. Never. It was a 6/10 before that.

People who think rape is funny need to grow a brain.

The song is by Evil-Dog

Alright animation! Keep up the good work, mate.

Was the joke when he got angry at the end?

The crab also has a top hat. I guess that's kinda funny.

I don't know, not a lot was happening in this short. I think you need a really funny idea to make a short work, but this didn't quite have it.

Brevity is the soul of wit

This went on far too long for the amount of humour that was in it.

There were good gags every now and then, but the were too many lame jokes and there simply wasn't enough variety to keep this going for half an hour.

Improvements that could be made:
- Cut the skits of lower quality, especially the ones that fall dead. Tom Fulp and Adam Phillips, I'm looking at you.
- Include a skit menu. Watching the entire thing just to rewatch one particular skit is incredibly annoying.
- Variety in the graphics and action. Two dudes standing there in the savanna and barely moving gets boring, even if the dialogue is witty. Most of this was rambling.

Could be better

This cartoon is basically a string of situations that make a T. rex angry, and I think you could have gone further with his insecurity about having small arms. There's potential for funny jokes here, but I don't think it really works well as it is.

I think this could benefit from a lot more thought. I reckon you should try again with a sequel maybe, and think long and hard about what would be funny for a short-armed T. rex to get angry at. I'd also suggest losing the Tourette syndrome title, as Tourette syndrome is not a condition where someone gets angry all the time.

The graphics need improvement, so practise your drawing, and keep working at it.

I got the message AND cracked up laughing

I think it's mainly the cartoony sound effect of the punch. If it was a realistic thud, and you could see the aftermath (i.e. her, bloody nose, her falling to ground, getting hit against a wall, or something), it might have the intended effect. Or perhaps no sound effect at all. But the immediate aftermath needs to be seen. Like near the end, where it gets progressively more ugly.

Maybe don't have a punch to the nose straight away. Let there be a build up. And show a reason for the violence. Show that she disappointed "me" in some way, like she spilled a drink on me, or lost some money. And perhaps show in between the violence the reasons why she might think I am worth it. When I say sorry, I buy her amazing gifts, and I'm very apologetic, but I also let her know that I did it because she made me, so she feels it's all her fault.

I think you have a good message here, and it's a good mechanic making the viewer the abuser. I think this has the potential to be quite powerful, but it's not there yet. I hope you spend some more time on it, because I think it's worth it.

Did they just kill Phelan Porteous?

I liked some bits. The overuse of that shocked pose for the Dangerhawks was great. I also like the old comic book/superhero cartoon logic. I mean OF COURSE they created Professor Scorptopus.

I understood that the theme song was meant to be a jumble of heaps of different cartoon theme songs, but I think something original and funny would have been better.

P.S. Needs more fish in spaceships!

"lol random" humour, no reason for Justin

I'm not sure how this cartoon was meant to be entertaining. It just seemed to be going for a "lol random" reaction (which it is getting), without actually giving us any jokes. Justin Bieber seemed to be there for no reason, since the cartoon wasn't making fun of him at all.

HappyHarry responds:

Why would I want to make fun of Justin Bieber?

Cool style, but message insults intelligence

I really like the graphics and animation, but the message is oversimplified to the point of error, and insults the viewer's intelligence.

Christians are into astrology? Really? I thought the Bible was very much against that kind of thing. Intelligent Design followers say dinosaurs did not exist? That's funny, I'm pretty sure they do believe in dinosaurs. People in Kansas teach this kind of stuff in schools? No, wait, that was just a big misrepresentation by the media back in 2005.

It's insulting to be spoon-fed this kind of moral message against anti-science when you deliberately mistate facts to deride your opponents' positions.

Hahaha! I loved it!

To be honest, if you made a longer fight with better graphics or whatever, I wouldn't have liked it as much.

This is great simply because of the ending.

Animation was okay, sound effects were okay. Graphics could be better (you know this) and I think the "come get some" fingers were a little weird, plus the freeze frame just before the multiple enemies fight was an unnecessary break in the action. It should have just flowed.

Anyway, this has gone straight into my favourites. Thanks for the laugh! :D

Joey-Kazaam responds:

Thanks man, I appreciate it :D
